Calzados Fal receives the medal for merit in the workplace awarded by AEDEEC
Calzados Fal, manufacturer of the prestigious Chiruca® footwear brand, leader in the boots and outdoor footwear segment, received last Friday, February 16th, the Gold Medal for Merit in the Workplace in recognition of their professional career, an award granted by the European Association of Economy and Competitiveness (AEDEEC).
The event took place at the Hotel Eurostars Suites Mirasierra in Madrid on Friday 16 February. The event, presented by the journalist Ana García Lozano, was attended by the President of the European Economic and Competitiveness Association, José Luis Barceló, editor and director of El Mundo Financiero, who was in charge of awarding the Gold Medal and ribbon to Manuel Abad Urquijo, Manager of Calzados Fal, S.A.
This recognition commemorates the success of companies with an exemplary track record within Spain and/or the European Union, thanks to their practices and initiatives that support entrepreneurial spirit and awareness.
Since its foundation in 1965, Calzados FAL has maintained an unstoppable evolution in its production processes, and the successive improvements introduced in design and materials have led the CHIRUCA brand to lead the segment of boots and sports footwear specialised in free time. In addition to the experience accumulated as a manufacturer for more than 50 years, the company’s R+D+I department is also active. Moreover, the activity of the company from La Rioja is not limited to being a mere tool for the production of goods. Calzados FAL‘s commitment to society is reflected in the many collaborations it has developed throughout its history, in addition to being a company committed to the environment, which works in the field of sustainability and has achieved the Carbon Footprint seal issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment of the Spanish Government.
This award is aimed at professionals from all sectors who contribute to economic expansion, employment development and raising the standard of living of the States, to promoting research and development of new measures and technologies and to strengthening healthy competitiveness and who carry out CSR policies.
The medal, awarded by the AEEC, represents excellence and entrepreneurship, the contribution to a sustainable and inspiring European business environment, where good economic and social development is fostered.
